This notice explains what personal data Resonant collects when you use our website and how we handle it. We aim to be honest and minimal: this is a marketing site, and we collect as little as we can get away with.
Resonant Recruitment Development Ltd ("Resonant", "we", "us"), registered in England & Wales, is the controller for personal data described in this notice. Contact: ben@beresonant.co.uk.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. GA4 is loaded with Google Consent Mode v2 and its cookies are only set after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Decline", or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key resonant_consent.
Our hosting provider may keep short-lived server access logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL requested) for the purposes of security, abuse prevention and uptime. We do not use those logs to profile visitors.
When you click "20 minutes with Ben" you are taken to Calendly (operated by Calendly LLC in the United States). Calendly acts as an independent controller for the booking data you submit to it (typically your name, email address and chosen time). Its handling of that data is governed by Calendly's privacy notice.
Once a call is booked, Resonant receives your name, email address, scheduled time and any context you provided, and holds that data so we can run and follow up on the meeting.
We use the data you provide when booking a call or emailing us to:
Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests (responding to enquiries you initiate and running our business), and, where a commercial engagement follows, performance of a contract.
We do not sell personal data. We share the minimum necessary with service providers that help us operate:
Some of these providers process data in the United States. They rely on standard safeguards (such as the UK–US Data Bridge and Standard Contractual Clauses) to receive personal data from the UK.
We keep booking and correspondence data for up to 24 months from our last meaningful contact with you, and then delete it, unless a live client relationship requires us to keep it longer for contractual, tax or legal reasons.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email ben@beresonant.co.uk. We aim to respond within one month.
By default, the Site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Only strictly necessary technical cookies that may be set by the hosting platform to serve the site are used, and no consent is required for those.
If you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 sets the following first-party cookies:
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser (which removes both the GA cookies and the stored consent choice, so the banner will re-appear on your next visit), or by emailing ben@beresonant.co.uk.
We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
Any privacy question, request or concern: ben@beresonant.co.uk.
